Night and the City GoMovies Review

Night and the City is a wonderful movie in which there is the very magic of cinema, which makes the viewer believe that he, opposing all opponents, overcomes any obstacles and cope with all life`s adversities.

The movie is very good for 1950, a special respect for the defiant cast, demonstrating a very believable relationship, without a drop of pretense.

Every time I come across a new movie in the genre of Drama, Thriller, I postpone everything, Night and the City pleasantly surprised me: a delightful plot that was revealed thanks to an emotional and live performance.

This movie can be disassembled into quotes, never before in 95 minutes I have not been able to experience such a wide range of emotions, Jack N. Green, Jules Dassin, Peggy McClafferty just wrapped my soul on a fist.

I liked the director`s work, Jack N. Green, Jules Dassin, Peggy McClafferty conveyed the human essence well, it was funny to recognize my acquaintances in typed characters.

The movie keeps tight grip on until the final credits, despite the fact that Gene Tierney, Googie Withers, Herbert Lom, Hugh Marlowe, Mike Mazurki, Richard Widmark performed their roles rather weakly, probably Stanislavsky himself would have told them: `I don’t believe`.
