    Kwaidan GoMovies

Taking its title from an archaic Japanese word meaning “ghost story,” this anthology adapts four folk tales. A penniless samurai marries for money with tragic results. A man stranded in a blizzard is saved by Yuki the Snow Maiden, but his rescue comes at a cost. Blind musician Hoichi is forced to perform for an audience of ghosts. An author relates the story of a samurai who sees another warrior’s reflection in his teacup.

    Kwaidan GoMovies Review

Kwaidan is not just a movie, it is life as it is, without embellishment, Masaki Kobayashi perfectly revealed the harsh, sometimes funny, but most importantly, real reality.

This movie became the most memorable of those that I watched in 1964, because the ending, in my opinion, although correct, but at the same time very unexpected, at least it will not leave anyone indifferent.

After finishing watching this movie, I came to the conclusion that for the broadcasting of movies in the genre of Drama, Fantasy, Horror, some storylines do not fit at all in the period of time that is allotted to them, and simply require some kind of continuation and development.

This movie can be disassembled into quotes, never before in 183 minutes I have not been able to experience such a wide range of emotions, Masaki Kobayashi just wrapped my soul on a fist.

You fall in love with this movie from the first scene, Masaki Kobayashi thought through everything to the smallest detail: a cool acting game and a plot, in which, in addition to drive, there is also depth, they catch to the depths of the soul.

The characters are interesting and not stereotyped, but the Kenjiro Ishiyama, Michiyo Aratama, Rentarô Mikuni, who brought them to life, pumped up a little, because they did not always play their roles reliably, apparently, they could not fully feel their heroes.
