When petty criminal Luke Jackson is sentenced to two years in a Florida prison farm, he doesn’t play by the rules of either the sadistic warden or the yard’s resident heavy, Dragline, who ends up admiring the new guy’s unbreakable will. Luke’s bravado, even in the face of repeated stints in the prison’s dreaded solitary confinement cell, “the box,” make him a rebel hero to his fellow convicts and a thorn in the side of the prison officers.

    Cool Hand Luke GoMovies Review

Cool Hand Luke is a wonderful movie in which there is the very magic of cinema, which makes the viewer believe that he, opposing all opponents, overcomes any obstacles and cope with all life`s adversities.

A wonderful movie with a twisted plot, which in 1967 was accompanied by great posters and promo shots, it was nice to see Dennis Hopper, George Kennedy, Harry Dean Stanton, Luke Askew, Morgan Woodward, Paul Newman, Strother Martin in one project.

I don`t understand whether Crime, Drama has outlived its usefulness, or whether the writers have forgotten how to write interesting ornate stories, this movie reminded me of a bunch of others, the director did not introduce anything fundamentally new.

The movie is as multifaceted as our life is multifaceted, I advise you to postpone everything and spend 127 minutes on this movie watching.

To my surprise, Hank Moonjean, Stuart Rosenberg managed to very succinctly and gracefully tell a seemingly ordinary story, in which each character deserves special attention.

The movie keeps tight grip on until the final credits, despite the fact that Dennis Hopper, George Kennedy, Harry Dean Stanton, Luke Askew, Morgan Woodward, Paul Newman, Strother Martin performed their roles rather weakly, probably Stanislavsky himself would have told them: `I don’t believe`.
