Anatomy of a Murder GoMovies Review

Anatomy of a Murder contains all the components of a successful movie: a twisted plot that unfolds with the help of unexpected and atypical twists, memorable characters and good actors: Ben Gazzara, Eve Arden, George C. Scott, James Stewart, Lee Remick, Murray Hamilton, Orson Bean.

A brilliant script that was something out of the ordinary for 1959, coupled with skillful directorial work, turned this movie into an example of good cinematography.

I don`t understand whether Crime, Drama, Mystery, Thriller has outlived its usefulness, or whether the writers have forgotten how to write interesting ornate stories, this movie reminded me of a bunch of others, the director did not introduce anything fundamentally new.

Throughout the 160 minutes, I had the feeling that not today, but tomorrow, I will definitely meet them in the nearest supermarket or park.

David Silver, Hal W. Polaire, Kathleen Fagan, Otto Preminger is a fine fellow, he didn’t place all his bets on the plot, but concentrated on spectacular artistic techniques: metaphorical and technical, which is why the movie turned out to be so catchy.

Ben Gazzara, Eve Arden, George C. Scott, James Stewart, Lee Remick, Murray Hamilton, Orson Bean were able to believably play the proposed characters, in modern cinema this is a great rarity, because not every actor is able to feel the character as himself.
